API keys

SwaYantra supports two operating modes for model access: managed keys for a fast start and customer-owned provider keys for teams that want direct vendor ownership.

Customer-owned provider keys

Open Admin → Keys and add your Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google key. SwaYantra encrypts the key at rest, shows only the last four characters after save, and never includes the secret in logs, audit exports, or privacy exports.

• Keys can be added, rotated, or deleted by admins.
• Every key change is captured in the audit log.
• Model requests decrypt the key only when a workflow needs to call the provider.

Managed keys

Managed keys let teams evaluate SwaYantra without setting up provider accounts on day one. You set a monthly budget ceiling, choose the overage behavior, and decide later whether to move to customer-owned keys.

Budget behavior when the ceiling is reached:

• Throttle — pause new managed-key workflows until the next billing period.
• Invoice overage — continue running and bill usage above the ceiling.
• Cutoff — stop managed-key usage until an admin raises the budget or the next period starts.

Developer-tool access tokens

Open Admin → Keys → Developer tools to create a token for Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, or another MCP-compatible client. Plaintext is shown once on creation. Revocation is immediate and future calls fail closed.
